About
I am Simon Martyr, an Amsterdam-based web developer with a passion for backend technologies. My journey into the world of computer science began at a young age when my father brought home a computer that ignited my curiosity and set me on a path of exploration.
During my studies I had the opportunity to experience working in software development at Nokia Siemens Networks. This experience re-enforced my enjoyment of coding and fuelled my motivation to pursue a career in software development. Upon completing my degree, I took the bold step of relocating to the Netherlands to join Finaps. Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of honing my skills and building valuable relationships.
I enjoy working with Java, Go, and embracing API First Design. I am also passionate about software testing, striving to deliver robust solutions.
Outside of work, you'll often find me immersed in the world of mechanical keyboards, supporting the New England Patriots, or enjoying the too many podcasts and video games. Always happy to connect and discuss any of these topics!
